I’m here to help and I work hard every day to support local people and improve our community. I want to start by sincerely thanking the many residents who come to me with their concerns in a respectful and constructive way. Your understanding of the work I do, and your willingness to engage thoughtfully, is genuinely appreciated.
I know that people often feel frustrated when things aren’t going right, and I always do my best to listen and help something hundreds of residents I’ve supported over the years can attest to. Whether it’s housing, local services, or community safety, I’m proud to have stood by so many individuals and families to get results.
There are many ways to get in touch with me: by email, phone, social media, resident drop-in sessions, or even just by popping into the office. I’m probably one of the most accessible people in public service, and I welcome communication from everyone.
However, I do need to say this clearly: I cannot accept aggressive or intimidating behaviour at public meetings. When false claims are made and repeated, no matter how often, it doesn’t make them true. I always aim to share facts and provide honest updates, and I believe that respectful dialogue is the only way we can move forward together.
It’s not just me who’s affected by aggressive behaviour it also impacts other residents who are there to engage constructively. Everyone deserves to feel safe and heard in these spaces.
To those who raised their concerns respectfully tonight thank you. I was glad to provide updates on what’s already being done and to outline plans underway to tackle the issues that matter to you.
As always, I remain fully committed to working hard for our community and supporting those who want to make things better. Let’s keep working together positively and respectfully for the good of everyone.
