Stop Wasting Everyone’s Time

To the individual who is clearly obsessed with me: please stop wasting Council time and taxpayers’ money with frivolous Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — I am completely open about every penny I spend from the members’ small schemes budget. All of this information is already out there for anyone who cares to look: it’s published on the Council website, shared in my newsletters, and posted here on this platform. Like the other 68 councillors, I can only spend the £15,000 a year within the policies set by the Council. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

So let me be crystal clear: harassment and intimidation won’t work on me. I won’t be bullied, and I won’t be distracted from doing my job. But if you ever target my family, the Hadston House charity team, or anyone else who has nothing to do with your personal obsession, I will report you to the police. 👮 Nobody else should have to put up with your nonsense. 😊

FOIs are useful when they’re used properly — they hold public bodies to account and shine a light on important issues. But using them to harass individuals or to ask for things that are already published and easily available is a complete waste of taxpayers’ money. And frankly, people deserve better.

To everyone else: thank you for your continued support. The vast majority of people in our community know the difference between scrutiny and spite. I’ll carry on being open, transparent, and focused on the things that matter most to you. Harassment won’t define us — progress will.
