Scott Dickinson MBE, the Leader of Northumberland Labour, has welcomed the investment put forward by the government for some new and exciting green initiatives to support the reduction of bills and ensure energy efficiency is modern and green.
Scott said: “It is fantastic to see the green investments in Northumberland alongside the wider investments in our towns that the Labour government is making.
The importance of being at the forefront of green energy improvements to reduce costs to our public services, such as hospitals and schools, is critical. This, in turn, will support the overall plan to reduce household bills and keep more money in local families' pockets.
I am pleased to see more investment from the government in Northumberland; it marks a real step change in investing in our county, which was neglected for 14 years. This is an investment in our areas that will bring down energy bills and deliver savings for the taxpayer."
